Ancestry – remote access!

CCRLS is pleased to announce that Ancestry (a genealogist favorite) is temporarily available remotely, thanks to the generosity of our vendor(s); requires a valid CCRLS library card. Just one more thing you can do from home during these unusual & challenging times.

Register online!

Caught without a library card? No worries! Even though our member libraries are currently closed in response to the Coronavirus situation, you can still register for a library card online. Just go to the CCRLS catalog and look for the 'Register' option...

A temporary account will be created for you, one which will allow you to access most of our electronic resources (i.e. ebooks, Kanopy, etc.). When our member libraries re-open, you can visit and upgrade the account as needed.

Interlibrary Loan service temporarily suspended

CCRLS services all of the interlibrary loan (ILL) borrowing requests generated at our member libraries. In light of COVID-19 library closures, locally & throughout the country, we are temporarily suspending that service. We will resume this activity as local libraries re-open and external libraries re-establish their ability to lend/send materials.

Hold expiration temporarily extended

In response to COVID19-related library closures, CCRLS is temporarily extending hold expiration dates. Active holds which are filled will still transit to the pickup library you specify. However, the item(s) may not be available until that library re-opens. Similarly, the expiration date associated with an unfilled hold will not be affected by library closures.

Overdue fines & COVID-19

CCRLS member library Directors have agreed that when the timely check-in of materials is affected by operational disruptions or closures instituted due to the COVID-19 public emergency, that affected materials will be checked in free of overdue fines.
